Live your truth. . . be a little weird

 Therapy with Mariena

Meet Mariena

I am a neurodiverse (AuDHD), intersex, plural, queer therapist living on the Oregon coast. I am a person living with a dissociative disorder and happily functions as system of parts. We are queer educators, speakers, and community advocates. It's my joy to provide affirming care in Oregon to many ages and demographics, but especially clients who are: neurodiverse, LGBTQIA+, experiencing dissociation, kink, poly, or anyone who is struggling to trust themselves and live their truth.

I am survivor who found my voice and internal compass again through parts work and exposure therapies. I am privileged to walk along with my clients as they go through their own journeys of healing and falling in love with all parts of themselves.

I believe in strength based, holistic, somatic, and attachment-based care.  Much of what I do is EMDR based and, depending on the needs of the client, may involve somatic processing (dancing/movement), sandtray (PLAY with sand and figures), art, grounding, mindful meditation, collaborative problem solving, parts work, and more.

In my own work the things I find useful are grounding, dancing, art, and mindfully communicating with the different parts of myself. I look forward to helping you explore what works for you or your family member.

What is EMDR?

I am an EMDR S.A.F.E. model certified therapist. I am also an EMDR consultant-in-training which means that I can provide consultation for new EMDR clinicians who are seeking certification and to learn more about the EMDR process.

Visit EMDR International Association to learn more about what EMDR is.

I am a WPATH trained provider. I believe it’s my role to reduce barriers between transgender individuals and potentially life-saving gender affirmation care.

Visit Standards of Care - WPATH World Professional Association for Transgender Health to learn more about the informed consent process.

Why do you provide gender affirmation letters?

Due to the long term nature of most of my work, we no longer accept waitlist clients. Please check back periodically or call for openings.

Still accepting short term Clients ONLY needing a letter for gender affirming care. Please email or call to schedule a consult.
